TOURNAMENT RULES:
​
GAME FORMAT
​
-
The tournament is a round robin format. Each team will play each other once (3 games). Each bracket has 4 teams.
-
Games are 50 minutes long: 25 minute halves. Running clock.
-
Team standings will be based on their points earned after all 3 games are played.
-
2017+2016 = 7v7. 2015+2014=9v9. 2013-2009 = 11v11.

BRACKET WINNER DETERMINATION
​

The first place team in the bracket will be the winner.
-
A win counts for 3 points. A tie counts for one point.
-
Forfeits will be recorded as a 2-0 final. Inappropriate sideline behavior from coaches or parents can result in a forfeit.

If a team is tied in points, the first tie breaker will be the Head to Head Result.

In the further event of a tie, goal differential will decide the winner. There is a max goal differential of 6 goals per game.

If teams are still tied after goal differential, goals scored will determine the winner. The max goals scored per game is 6.
-
If teams are still tied after goals scored, goals against will determine the winner.
-
If teams are still tied after goals against, most shutouts will determine the winner.
-
Finally, if all of the aforementioned stats cannot provide a winner, there will be a PK shootout.

7v7 + 9v9 SPECIFIC RULES
​

*Friendly reminder that all 7v7 matches (2017-2016 birth years) will have a buildout line. Players will be able to press the ball as soon as the ball is touched and put into play. For example, in a goalkick situation, as soon as the player delivering the goalkick touches the ball, the opponent may press. (No second touch rule).

2017, 2016, and 2015 Bracket MAY NOT use their head.

2014 Brackets and older may use their head.

MISCELLANEOUS RULES
​

All games are running clock. No stoppage time. Clock begins at your scheduled kick off time.

Teams MUST pay their referee fees prior to the game. If referee fees are not paid, the team will forfeit the game. 7v7/9v9 = $30 per game. 11v11 = $60 per game.

Any player or coach who receives a red card will be suspended for the subsequent game
-
Each field will have one game ball. Teams may provide a back up ball to be used in the field of play, if needed.

ALL TENTS and CANOPIES must be weighted down.

WEATHER DELAYS/GAME CANCELLATIONS
​

In the case of inclement weather, the Tournament Committee has the authority to change, cancel or reschedule any game and / or its format. If a game is suspended in the middle of play, the tournament committee will determine a final result if: The game is at half time or beyond OR a team is winning by 3 or more goals at any point of the game. I.e.: A team is winning 3-0 20 minutes into the match, we would award them with the win.
